Riverside Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38106 Morgan Steel, LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in our steel distribution and manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will take pride in keeping the workplace safe, clean, and organized, contributing to a productive and professional environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and production floors Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in designated areas Clean and disinfect surfaces, including high-touch areas, workstations, and door handles Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly Refill and stock restroom and cleaning supplies Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces Maintain cleanliness of exterior entryways and parking lot areas as needed Follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times Notify supervisor of maintenance or repair needs (e.g., leaks, damaged fixtures, broken equipment) Assist with special cleaning projects and emergency clean-up tasks as directed Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers Support compliance with OSHA, company policies, and cleanliness standards High school diploma or GED preferred Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience strongly preferred Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks Comfortable working in an industrial or manufacturing environment Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Work Environment:
Exposure to warehouse and production environments, which may include dust, noise, and temperature fluctuations Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required Regular walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
