Job Description Summary/Objective Works to ensure offices, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for general cleaning and maintenance duties which may include vacuuming, dusting, item washing, trash collecting and proper sorting. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Performs repetitive motions as required to support maintenance or production. Lifts items that weigh up to 40 lb. Perform duties in standing position for extended periods. Pushes, pulls and moves containers that weigh at least 40 lb. Reaches, pushes, pulls, handles, lifts, inserts, bends, leans and stretches to perform duties. Maintains a clean workstation and follows all Safety requirements. Bend and stoop to draining unclean water from tank. Bend to clean front sweeper area of debris. Scrubs and coats floors as assigned. Performs housekeeping duties in accordance with good commercial practices. Operates common housekeeping equipment. Assures chemical supplies are properly used and stored. Respond promptly to critical situations, i.e., water spills, chemical spills, etc. Visually inspects plant and advises management of any unsatisfactory, unsafe or nonconforming conditions. Supervisory Responsibility N/A Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near forklift traffic & moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually load. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. Minimal occupational hazards.
