Custodian Warren County Health Department 1401 Sparta Street, McMinnville, TN 37110 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both commercial and industrial cleaning. Responsibilities Perform general custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining various areas of the facility. Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Execute industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support the overall upkeep of the building. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff or management. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any needs for replenishment. Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained. Experience Previous experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is preferred. Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and facilities maintenance is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks throughout the shift.
