Manufacturing Facility Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Custodian / Janitor to help keep our manufacturing facility clean, organized, and safe. This position includes janitorial duties in both office spaces and production floor areas , supporting a clean work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in both administrative and industrial spaces Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces and production area walkways Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to company safety standards Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as needed Respond promptly to spills or other cleaning-related issues on the production floor
Qualifications:
Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred; industrial/manufacturing setting a plus Familiarity with cleaning supplies and floor equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers, etc.) Ability to work independently and stay organized Comfortable working around machinery and active production environments Able to lift up to 15 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, standing, walking) for extended periods Must follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate
