The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered promptly, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities Coordinate between the kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of food orders. Monitor the progress of food preparation and communicate with cooks regarding order status. Ensure that all dishes are presented according to restaurant standards before they leave the kitchen. Assist with food preparation as needed, including chopping, cooking, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and expediting area. Provide support to servers by assisting with bussing tables and delivering food to guests. Handle any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality. Experience in food preparation and culinary techniques is preferred. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including banquet services. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry is a plus, but not required.
