The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and assisting with meal preparation. Responsibilities Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support catering events by preparing food items according to specific menus and timelines. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations throughout all kitchen operations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food handling tools. Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries and organizing supplies in storage areas. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation tasks. Willingness to learn new skills related to catering and kitchen operations.
