BOH Team Member Noble Smokehouse 4 Roosevelt Avenue, Mystic, CT 06355 This position is responsible for prepping meats and smoking them. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Back of House Team Member to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portion control guidelines. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, grills, and fryers. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure it meets established standards. Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage practices. Support the culinary team in various tasks as needed, contributing to a positive team environment. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food preparation environment is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. A passion for the food industry and a desire to learn more about meal preparation and cooking techniques. Familiarity with dietary department operations or experience as a dietary aide is a plus. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain a clean work area at all times.
