Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Prepper to join our pizzeria team. The Food Prepper is responsible for preparing key ingredients such as dough, sauces, and cheese, ensuring all food items are ready for service in a timely and sanitary manner. This role is essential in maintaining the consistency and quality of our pizzas and overall guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Dough Preparation:
Accurately mix and portion pizza dough according to company recipes. Monitor proofing times and ensure proper dough consistency and texture. Store dough in designated containers and label properly with dates.
Sauce Preparation:
Follow standardized recipes to mix pizza sauces and other specialty sauces. Maintain proper storage temperatures and labeling for all sauce containers.
Cheese Preparation:
Cut, shred, and portion cheese varieties according to daily prep needs. Ensure cheese is stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
General Prep Duties:
Assist in preparing vegetables, meats, and other toppings as needed. Keep prep station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout shifts. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management. Track inventory of prep items and notify manager of low stock.
Qualifications:
Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required. Ability to follow recipes and procedures consistently. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (ServSafe certified a plus).
Schedule:
Shifts vary and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
