Kitchen Staff Member The Library Taphouse and Kitchen 1530 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31204 Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team! With this kitchen as a staff member, you will be responsible for preparing many dishes and ensuring they are presented as delicious as they are while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to have you on board. Duties Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and free from hazards. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food items are handled properly. Support cooks and chefs in various tasks as needed during meal service. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting any shortages. Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes and maintaining kitchen equipment. Skills Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations within the food industry. Experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and quality. A passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn more about cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
