7 3.7 out of 5 stars 1968 Hawks Lane, Atlanta, GA 30329 Proof of the Pudding (POP) is the food service provider for the Atlanta Hawks Basketball at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. This complex is the official practice facility of the Hawks. POP provides meal services multiple times per day year-round to ensure players, staff, and coaches are fueled with a health-focused menu. POP is seeking additional Kitchen Stewards to support our catering operations at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. Stewards will assist with daily event logistics, cleaning and organizing duties, and help the team adapt to changing business needs and event schedules.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes, and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized. Assist with set-up and breakdown of all Banquet buffets. Facilitating all plate-up and delivery of all food the prospective functions Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift. Properly washes, stacks, and stores China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers. Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab. Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries. Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift. Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves. Assist with maintaining and organizing the China room and warehouse. Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties. Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed. Performs other related duties as needed. Education and/or Experience 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or as a steward is preferred, experience in customer service role is preferred High school diploma of GED ServSafe Certified preferred.

Planning and multi-tasking Self-motivated with a high energy level Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays. Ability to follow directions and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Must be a phenomenal team-player and self-motivated with a high energy level. Work Environment This position will report to and work out of the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. This position will have prolonged periods of standing, utilizing typical kitchen equipment, and traverse across sometimes wet surfaces. Uniform Requirements Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines. Non-slip shoes are necessary.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of moving through kitchen, coolers, and storage spaces, and traveling to different venues across greater Atlanta Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives. Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment. Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
