The Expediter plays a crucial role in taking phone to-go orders, ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to customers. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Tips included. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery. Communicate effectively with front desk employees, kitchen staff and servers to ensure all orders are prepared correctly and meet quality standards. Assist in food preparation and handling as needed, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, alerting management when stock is low. Maintain an organized workspace to facilitate smooth operations during busy service periods. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests from guests. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong understanding of food preparation, handling, and safety protocols. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere. Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information between kitchen staff and servers. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A background in culinary arts or experience as a cook is a plus but not mandatory. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
