Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a “Grille Associate—Part Time” for Cash Magic—Broussard North. The Louisiana Cash Magic Truck Plaza & Casino incorporates 27 video gaming facilities situated throughout the state. Each site features a convenience store, fueling operations, a restaurant and up to 50 poker machines. The video gaming machines are in a separate gaming room that offers a casino-like atmosphere and provides the road weary traveler an exciting break from the highways.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment
Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
Monitors and maintains proper temperature on all products
Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté’ burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment
Prepares items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating
Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
Handles stores and rotates all products properly
Assists in food prep assignments during off peak periods as needed
Stocking food in coolers and freezers
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
The ability to read, write and understand the English language
Ability to read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash register and other equipment
Identification that establishes identity
Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
