Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors to ensure consistency and quality of dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure safe food handling practices. Support cooks in various tasks as needed, including cooking simple dishes or assisting with plating. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors. Participate in catering events or special functions as required. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
