Kitchen Operations Support New York Pizza Pascagoula 2415 Market Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients and menu items according to established recipes and standards. Utilize kitchen tools and equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours. Support catering events by preparing meals according to specific dietary needs or menu planning requirements. Help train new staff members in food handling procedures and kitchen best practices. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment are advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping others in a busy environment. Willingness to learn new skills related to menu planning, catering, and dietary aide responsibilities.
