Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Handle food items with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or a restaurant setting is preferred.
