Position Overview:
Prepares wholesome food for The Emily Program clients, their communicates of support and staff following the site menu and designated recipes in support of the Therapeutic Supported Meal process. Maintains the kitchen, storage and culinary spaces in accordance with nutrition and culinary policies and procedures in addition to regulatory sanitation and safety standards.
Schedule:
Full Time – 40 hours per week – Tuesday-Thursday 1pm to 930pm Friday-Saturday 11am-730pm (Off Sunday & Monday) How Cooks Empower Recovery Completion of any daily tasks for meal preparation, cooking or clean-up, or catering needs as assigned by the Culinary Manger. Tastes prepared items to ensure that quality of food is as expected and immediately correcting issues with food quality and taste before providing to patients, staff or family. Assists the Culinary Manager/leader and/or Dietetic Technician in culinary programming as directed. Assists the Culinary Manager/leader in maintaining all kitchen and dining areas, tools and equipment in a safe, functional and organized manner, reporting known issues and/or immediately correcting issues when able.
Maintain inventory by:
Conducting inventory procedures as assigned Rotating inventory based on dates using a first in first out procedure. Ensuring the appropriate storage and temperature requirements are met for all inventory. Participates in regular meetings with Culinary Manager.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent, required At least 1-2 years of cooking experience in a medium volume kitchen, required Experience in a healthcare, hospital or mental health setting, preferred Valid driver’s license, required ServSafe Manager Certification or ability to obtain upon hire, required What we offer:
