JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an on-site role for a Personal Chef that will be responsible for meal preparation, cooking, menu planning, grocery shopping and maintaining a clean kitchen workspace.

Qualifications:

Culinary skills such as meal preparation and cooking
Menu planning and creating personalized dishes
Organization and time management skills
Food safety knowledge and certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Experience in catering or culinary education is a plus

Role:

This is a part time independent contractor position where you’ll provide weekly meal service for clients, fostering meaningful connections around delicious food. You will visit 3-5 clients per week, handling the grocery shopping, meal preparation and cleanup. Weekend hours are optional, allowing you to achieve your desired schedule. In addition to weekly meal service, you may also have opportunities to host intimate events, teach cooking classes, and coordinate corporate team-building workshops. $35/hr Responsibilities include: Menu planning, often for clients with special dietary needs or restrictions (i.e. Gluten free, paleo, vegan…)
Grocery and ingredient shopping
In-home cooking and meal prep at client’s home
Food storage, labeling and cleanup What We are

Looking For:

A passion for food and helping others
Experience with menu writing and a wide range of cultural food knowledge (professional cooking or culinary experience is a plus, but not required if you are proficient in prepping multiple dishes quickly and effectively).
Knowledge of special diet types (gluten-free, paleo, paleo, etc.)
A sense of urgency and attention to detail
Excellent people skills and communication
Food Safety Certification
A reliable vehicle that you do not share to fulfill job duties
Ability to grocery shop efficiently

Additional Details:

Expected hours: 15-35 hours per week with flexibility and potential for growth
