Job Description
POSITION STANDARDS
- Must be able to read par stock lists, menus and chemical labels.
POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Anything listed here requires a pre-employment physical by Employee Health to determine if the employee is capable of meeting the requirements.
Physical Activity:
- Frequently lifts objects of up to 50 pounds, i.e. dishes or food items.
Upper Extremity:
- Must be able to work in warm and humid environment (sometimes exceeding 100°F) as well as walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Must be able to push/pull tray delivery trucks and food carts.
Push/Pull/Lift/Carry:
- The position requires the employee to be standing or walking 80% of each day worked.
PART TWO
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Position Objective
- Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary work area and assists cooks as needed.
- Performance Expectation
- Performs assigned cleaning duties.
- Daily duties include: -thoroughly sweep and mop kitchen floors
- Keeps storage areas neat and orderly.
- Stock shelves, rotating and dating inventory.
- Participates on the evening meal and clean up.
- Operates dish machine following the meal.
- Assists co-workers in a variety of duties, i.e. cleaning, food preparation, special functions.
