Food Expeditor Zest Cape May Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in the hospitality sector. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the kitchen and dining areas, facilitating communication between the kitchen staff and front-of-house team. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of service and efficiency, particularly during busy service periods. Responsibilities Coordinate food orders from the kitchen to ensure timely delivery to guests. Assist in managing the flow of food and supplies within the kitchen. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure accurate order fulfillment. Help maintain cleanliness and organization in both the kitchen and dining areas. Support bussing duties as needed, ensuring tables are cleared and reset promptly. Monitor food presentation standards before serving to guests, ensuring quality control. Assist with food handling practices, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines. Skills Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in banquet settings. Strong communication skills to effectively relay information between kitchen and service staff. Knowledge of culinary practices and food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times. A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help colleagues as needed. Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service excellence.
