We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Utility Worker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, supporting the kitchen staff with various tasks, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, walls, and surfaces. Assist in food preparation as needed, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients. Take out trash, recyclables, and compost and ensure proper disposal of kitchen waste. Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are clean, organized, and properly stored. Help receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of ingredients. Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Assist in setting up and breaking down the kitchen before and after shifts. Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
