Prep/Salad and Grille station Il Mondo Vecchio Italian Restaurant 54 Main Street, Madison, NJ 07940 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Salad Prep team member to join our culinary staff. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients and assembling salads in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your contributions will help ensure that our customers receive high-quality, delicious meals that meet our standards for freshness and presentation. Duties Prepare and wash vegetables, fruits, and other salad ingredients according to established recipes and standards. Utilize proper knife skills to cut, chop, and slice ingredients efficiently and safely. Assemble salads and other dishes with attention to detail and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad prep area, adhering to food safety guidelines. Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or culinary setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food safety practices and kitchen operations is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
