The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our kitchen staff and contributing to an exceptional experience for our older adults. Duties Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils. Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and ensure all surfaces are sanitized. Sort and stack clean dishes appropriately for kitchen staff. Dispose of waste properly and assist in maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols regarding food handling and cleaning procedures. Help maintain proper food and equipment inventory and documentation Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods Requirements Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Physical stamina is required; candidates should be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights. A willingness to help others in the kitchen team is essential for success in this role. Must have a food protection certificate.
