Seasonal Mozzarella Production Position Available In Nassau, New York

Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop. Mozzarella Production Full Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $17-$18 depending on qualifications and experience Must be at least 18 years and older

Position Description:

Mozzarella Maker break down, flavor, cook, and stretch mozzarella curd to form mozzarella and other mozzarella products. Team members work safely and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards in each area of department to provide customers with the highest quality mozzarella.

Your day-to-day:

+ Make and form mozzarella and associated items using established standards + Maintain, fill and rotate mozzarella and olive bar for quality freshness, and proper dates + Weighs, packages, and labels products + Provides excellent customer service by greeting and responding to customers + Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations + Assist in other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

+ 18 years of age or older + Entry level position; no prior experience required + High school diploma or equivalent + Safely use/operate knives, paddles, scales, wrapping machine, and electric kettle + Great customer service + Good oral communication skills What you bring to the team: + Great work ethic + Problem solver + Self-motivator + Flexible +

Honest Working Conditions:

+ The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, and pushing with a maximum of 50lbs and occasional squatting and reaching + The position requires exposure to both extreme heat and extreme cold (non-weather related) and occasionally loud noises
