Sushi Helper Louie’s Prime Steakhouse 395 Main Street, Port Washington, NY 11050 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring that food preparation and meal service run smoothly. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and eager to learn more about culinary practices, including meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations. Responsibilities Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients as directed by the head cook or chef. Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food handling practices meet health regulations. Participate in food preparation tasks such as cooking, baking, or assembling dishes under the supervision of culinary staff. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during meal periods. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of any shortages. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Strong interest in the culinary field with a willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and meal preparation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required.
