FLOOR STAFF

Trinity Meat Company, a USDA custom processing facility in Hartwick, NY is seeking experienced Slaughter Floor Staff. Preference is given to those who have extensive experience humanely handling livestock and stunning, dehiding, eviscerating, and trimming carcasses.

Responsibilities:

Humane handling and processing of cattle and hogs. Perform safe and sanitary dressing procedures. Maintain USDA and HACCP record keeping and documentation. Cleaning. Willingness to assist with other plant operations when necessary. Full time, Monday-Friday. 7:00 am

• 3:30 pm Available for overtime as needed.

Job requirements:

 Minimum 1 year of experience preferred  Experience in humanely handling and stunning hogs and cattle preferred  Competence with stunning, scalding, knives and saws  Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.  Able to work in cool and cold environments and stand for prolonged periods of time.  Able to lift 50+lbs regularly, and 80-90lbs on occasion.  Ability to perform twisting, turning, and bending motions.  Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures, food safety compliance regulations and equipment maintenance standards.
