Job DescriptionWe are seeking Kitchen Stewards to join our team in our new Dining Hall. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen facilities while ensuring compliance with health department regulations and company standards.

Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment using dishwashers and manual washing methodsMaintain cleanliness of the entire kitchen area through regular sweeping, mopping, and sanitizingOrganize and store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated areasMonitor and maintain dish machine cleanliness and functionalityHandle and dispose of trash according to established proceduresSupport kitchen staff by providing clean equipment and supplies as neededEnsure proper chemical handling and storage proceduresMaintain compliance with health department regulations and food safety standardsPerform opening and closing duties as assignedKeep work areas organized and clutter-freeReport any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisorsParticipate in required training programs and safety meetingsOther duties as requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 6 months experience in kitchen stewarding or related food service operationsKnowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation standardsUnderstanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe applicationPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environmentBasic English communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentMust be {AGE} or olderMust successfully pass background check and drug screeningFlexibility to work various shifts as neededAdditional InformationBoyd Gaming is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
