In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving delicious deli items. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience, from taking their orders to assisting with food preparation and maintaining cleanliness in the deli area. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling products to enhance their experience. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including bussing tables and cleaning equipment. Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers. Collaborate with team members to meet customer demands efficiently during peak hours. Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and inventory management as needed. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Experience in food preparation and handling, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating a cash register. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Culinary skills or experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist customers effectively. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
