High School diploma or GED Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of theresponsibilities listed below. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as thesuperintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

To prepare and serve attractive and nutritious meals tostudents with efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.

Performance Responsibilities:

Assists in quality food preparation and service. Demonstrates high standards of sanitation and safety. Practices the proper use and care of equipment andfacilities. Stores food, supplies and equipment in accordance with local,state and federal guidelines. Carries out assigned duties of collecting monies and mealcounts in accordance with local, state and federal guidelnes. Helps establish and maintain a pleasant and positive atmospherein the cafeteria. Must be able to obtain a School Bus Drivers License and drive aschool bus when requested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrate functional knowledge of basic principles of foodcookery. Demonstrate functional knowledge of food serviceequipment. Ability to be mentally alert and apply knowledge applicable tothe job. Ability to operate dishwasher, food grinder, mixer, meatslicer, range, ovens, refrigerator, and freezer. Ability to operate computer, register, calculator, correctlyand accurately as well as make change rapidly. Physical ability (able to exert up to 50 pounds of forceoccasionally) and dexterity to perform the duties andresponsibilities of the job, such as, walk, lift, stoop, stand,grasp, kneel, crouch, and key requiring repetitive motions.
