Food Expeditor Herd Provisions 106 Grove Street, Charleston, SC 29403 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in the culinary environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to enhance customer satisfaction. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Duties Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery. Monitor the preparation of dishes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Communicate effectively with chefs and servers regarding order status and any special requests. Ensure that all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation standards. Assist in food preparation as needed, demonstrating knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for use. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests from guests. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
