Job Description

Charleston Embassy Suites 300 Court Street Charleston, WV 25301 Kitchen Steward Part time Atrium SPIRIT

Primary Purpose:

Ensure guests have an excellent experience by maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, food storage areas, fridges, freezers, ovens, and cupboards. Clean, sanitize, and store dishes, glasses, utensils, and other kitchen equipment. Hand-wash pots, pans, and trays. Manage trash and garbage, clean cans, and maintain the loading dock. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Regularly sanitize/disinfect kitchen and food/beverage work areas, including flooring, storerooms, prep areas, buffets, dining tables, and equipment. Assist with food dish-up, set-up sheets, and event set-up/break-down. Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Prior related experience preferred.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

Food Safety certificate required within 90 days; ServSafe certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to bend and squat repeatedly. Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
