Kitchen Assistant Nannie’s Kitchen 307 North Parler Avenue, Saint George, SC 29477 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our family-friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and quality food. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. This is a full time job, Tues – Saturday. Hours will typically be 11-6 plus cleanup time and Saturdays from 8-4 are a requirement. Duties Assist in the preparation of meals by learning the grill (sandwiches) and basic prep. Work with the team in daily kitchen tasks, including food handling and meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served safely. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors. Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for service. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery during service hours. Requirements Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Basic kitchen skills preferred but not requitred. Ability to work efficiently during rush periods- while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks as needed in the kitchen. Reliable transportation.
