Food Prep Position Available In Horry, South Carolina

Food Prep Benito’s Brick Oven Pizza and Pasta 1598 Highway 17 S, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 The Kitchen Prep Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation of ingredients, tools, and workstations to ensure efficient kitchen operations. The main objective is to support the culinary team by preparing food items according to recipes and standards while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash, peel, and cut fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients. Portion and prepare meats, seafood, and other products as directed Measure and mix ingredients following recipes or chef instructions. Properly label and store food items in refrigerators or freezers. Keep workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and organized. Inspect food items to ensure freshness and quality. Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Help with kitchen cleanup and closing duties at the end of shifts.

Requirements:

Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred (but not required). Basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen equipment. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
