The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and ensure that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This role is essential in maintaining food safety standards and providing high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients. Support the dietary aide in meal assembly and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other utensils. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the supervisor. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. Participate in cleaning duties after meal service, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Assist in serving meals to residents, clearing the tables and cleaning the dining room. Experience Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
