Temporary Lifeguard Wesleyan University – 4.2 Middletown, CT Job Details Part-time $16.35 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications CPR Certification Lifeguard Training Swimming First Aid Certification Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description The Athletics Department seeks to hire a temporary lifeguard to oversee natatorium operations within the Freeman Athletic Center Fitness Center.

Responsibilities include:

Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and ensure patron safety. Enforce all natatorium rules and regulations in a consistent and professional manner. Respond quickly and effectively to all emergency situations. Perform first aid and CPR as needed. Conduct daily safety checks of pool and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area. Other duties as assigned. This is an on campus position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold a current and valid Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent). Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid Certification required. Strong swimming skills and physical stamina. Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Good attention to detail, particularly regarding aiding in emergency situations around the facility. Team-oriented individual that is cooperative with peers and supervisors. Flexible to accommodate requests for shifts each week.

Pay Rate:

$16.35/hr.
