This position will require a level II background check. Notice of E ‘Verify participation The primary functions of this position are…. Responsible for supervising the safety of patrons in the Natatorium. Examples of Duties Position requires working mornings, evenings and occasional weekends. Recognize and respond to unsafe situations in and around the swimming pool. Respond effectively to emergency situations. Enforces rules and regulations of the college to provide for the safe and efficient operation of the Natatorium. Assist in the periodic maintenance of the Natatorium and locker room as needed. Assist patrons getting in and out of the pool using the lift chair. Assist in setting up the pool for the various activities throughout the day. Document accurately the number of patrons swimming on a daily basis. Conduct hourly chemical test. Administer first aid when necessary. Complete accident reports when necessary. Attend all lifeguard training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Certification in Lifeguard Training, Adult CPR, AED, and Standard First Aid. Must be able to pass the practical water test given by the Coordinator of Aquatics or Aquatics Specialist. Supplemental Information

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must frequently lift and move from 10-50 pounds.
