8:30 AM to 6:30
PM Position Overview:
The Pool/beach Attendant is responsible for the maintenance of all beach/pool stations assuring safety and cleanliness while providing exceptional customer service to all residents. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests in all recreational activities and areas by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Setting up umbrellas, loungers, and other pool furniture. Closing all umbrellas prior to rainstorm or high winds. Observes and patrols the pool and enforces safety regulations. Assists swimmers from water when in danger. Provide excellent service consistent with the property’s standard operating procedures and brand attributes. Greet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, offer assistance with seating, deliver consistent guest service, exceed guest expectations, and provide all other supporting services. Poolside Tiki/BBQ hours of operation, location of facilities, and emergency procedure for rescue. Willing to take ownership of all residents requests and complaints, try to resolve issues immediately, and follow up to ensure the residents satisfaction. Ensure swimming pools and the complete pool deck area is clean at any times and report any maintenance issues to the engineering department. Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place, when setting up in the morning. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of pool deck and facilities including straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, towels, replacing flags, and cleaning signs. Identify and report defects throughout the pool and spa area, notify supervisors and concerned departments immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the operations. Ensuring that the swimming pool, furniture, and facilities are clean and safe. Providing residents with towels, shade, refreshments, and attending to their requests. Clearing used towels, and trash. Enforcing safety protocols as set out by the resort or hotel. Monitoring the activity of residents and ensuring their safety. Reporting any damages or incidences to the supervisor. Managing the swimming pool cleaning schedule and performing daily inspections.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent. At least one year’s experience in the hospitality industry. Recent First Aid and CPR certification. CPO Certification. Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a safe work environment for self and others. Knowledge of swimming pool equipment sufficient to be able to perform minor maintenance work on the equipment. Knowledge of pool facilities such as length and depth of all pools. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Physically fit, good swimming abilities, and able to perform physical labor in harsh weather conditions. Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment. Good time management and organizational skills. Consistent professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.
