Job Description

CO and Security Trainer – Emergency Detention Facility – ($3,710/week) Critical Response Strategies Miami, FL 33133

Position Overview:

We are seeking knowledgeable and dependable CO and Security Trainers to deliver instruction and oversight for correctional and security personnel at a temporary correctional or shelter-based facility in South Florida. This W2 contract role is contingent upon contract award and includes housing and meals provided on-site . Trainers will be responsible for preparing staff to operate effectively, safely, and professionally in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver onboarding and refresher training to corrections and security personnel Instruct on use-of-force protocols, de-escalation, and emergency response procedures Ensure alignment with state standards and facility-specific policies Maintain training logs, attendance records, and certification documentation Conduct safety briefings and scenario-based drills Monitor and evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback Support operational leadership with staff development needs Uphold professional conduct, discipline, and safety standards throughout all training activities

Assignment Details:

W2 Temporary Assignment (no benefits) Housing and meals included on base (no per diem or travel reimbursement) 84 hours/week – 12-hour shifts, 7 days/week

Rotational Schedule:

2-3 weeks on / 1 week off

Project Duration:

Up to 12 months

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a correctional officer, law enforcement trainer, or security instructor (required) Training certification or instructor credentialing (preferred) Strong knowledge of correctional operations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills Must be able to pass a background check Physically capable of leading training activities in high-demand conditions Proficient in English (spoken and written) If you’re passionate about training and safety in high-stakes environments, and ready to help prepare frontline personnel for success, apply now .
