Full Job Description Location:

Kroc Center – Augusta GA Full-time This position is responsible for: The Lead Lifeguard will be responsible for maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the aquatic facility and providing general oversight of the aquatics area in the absence of the Aquatics Manager. They will provide training and general oversight over the other lifeguards on duty.

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains a close working relationship with the Aquatics Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, internal and external clients in order to create and maintain a safe and positive experience. Assist as needed the Aquatics Manger with the operation and maintenance of the pool and equipment; conduct daily walk-through of facility to ensure appropriate appearance; document needed repairs and maintenance; maintain accurate inventory of first-aid, chemical, operating and program supplies; coordinator the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies. Safeguards and regulates conduct of pool patrons, enforces pool policies, rules, and regulations, Rescues patrons and performs appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid. Test water quality in pool and maintains appropriate records. Assists in the proper maintenance and sanitary upkeep of the pool, pool area, and locker rooms. Participates in the preparation of daily records. Provides written reports on all accidents, Maintains proper updated safety requirements. Attends in-service training and instructs certain skills to staff. Conducts patron swimming test to assess ability to swim independently and unattended. Provides excellent internal and external customer service. Create a positive experience for patrons through professional and courteous behavior. Handles customer conflict and complaints professionally, as necessary.

Possess a valid American Red Cross Life Guarding Certificate and American Red Cross First Aid Certificate Certified in American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), for the Professional Rescuer or become certified within 30 days of employment, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
