The City of Portland Aquatics Division is offering an opportunity toengage with the community and make a difference as a Lifeguard! Do youwant to make a splash by helping others stay safe while having fun? Thisis a part-time opportunity for Lifeguards who are passionate aboutensuring the safety of guests in and around the pool area. Promisingcandidates will have strong communication skills and the ability topromote safety and work well in a team environment. Required Skills & Experience:
- Good customer service skills and ability to work with a diversepopulation.
Prior experience working with preschool children and youth.
Ability to maintain order and enforce rules and regulations and toimpart enthusiasm in a positive and productive atmosphere.
Knowledge of a variety of aquatic activities.
Ability to exercise good judgment.
Must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AEDCertification and must attach copies of certifications to yourapplication.
