Head Lifeguard Branson Waterpark Hotel Branson, MO 65616 Job Summary The Head Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all pool patrons while overseeing the lifeguard team. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to pool management, including maintaining cleanliness, enforcing safety rules, and providing excellent guest services. The Head Lifeguard will also be involved in training new lifeguards and responding to emergencies as needed. Duties Supervise and manage lifeguard staff to ensure effective monitoring of pool activities. Enforce all pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for guests. Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for lifeguards on first aid and CPR procedures. Perform routine pool cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal water quality and cleanliness. Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR when necessary. Assist with guest services by addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner. Maintain accurate records of pool operations, incidents, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with management to develop safety protocols and improve overall pool operations. Experience Previous experience as a lifeguard is required; supervisory experience is preferred. Certification in First Aid and CPR is mandatory; additional certifications in lifeguarding are a plus. Familiarity with pool cleaning and maintenance procedures is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for equipment handling or maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services to enhance the overall experience for patrons. Proficient swimming skills are essential for effective monitoring of pool activities and emergency response.
