Lifeguard (Seasonal) Town and Country Pool & Rec Center 3330 Briarcliffe Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 Full Job Description Join our team!! We are a members only neighborhood pool and recreation center. We provide a fun, energetic and laid back facility. We strive to provide outstanding social and recreational experiences for members, their families and guests.. As a member of the lifeguard staff, safety is top priority for our members and their guests. Lifeguards are also responsible for building relationships with members and addressing member needs in a polite, respectful and friendly manner. Lifeguards will also need to explain rules as needed in a friendly and educational manner, work together and be consistent across all shifts.

Position Summary :

To ensure the safe operations of the pool for the enjoyment of members and their guests.

Essential Responsibilities:

Open and/or Close pool during business hours Greet and Check In members & guests Closely monitor the water and all swimmers to enhance safety Provide safe supervision of all swimmers Respond to emergencies as appropriate Complete Daily Checklist Complete any incident reports and input into computer system Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times Communicate and respond to any member complaints/suggestions Uphold approved pool rules and regulations Inspect all equipment each day to ensure safety of members and guests Performs chemical testing when not guarding, as required, and takes appropriate action Perform janitorial duties

• keep bathrooms clean and stocked Maintain high standard of cleanliness of pool facility
• (tables, deck, trash, entryway) Help work Snack Shack
• Stock items Collect money for snacks, punch cards and guest fees

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Routinely check and record pool chemical levels Pool operations High level of professional interaction with all members and guests

Working Conditions/Environment:

Position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk. Lifting and carrying items up to 10 pounds is necessary and lifting up to 25 pounds is required occasionally. Effectively dealing with high stress/ hot/cold environment in a decisive professional manner Track current and incoming weather conditions for the safety of swimmers

Education, Certification/License and Experience:

CPR/AED certified First Aid Knowledge Lifeguard certified Experience as a lifeguard Must be at least 16 years old
