Hartley Drive, High Point, NC 27265 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lifeguard and Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques to individuals of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a crucial role in promoting water safety and helping participants develop their swimming abilities. Lifeguarding duties will include monitoring aquatic facility for safety, performing necessary saves, enforcing rules, and secondary duties as needed. Duties Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, tailored to various skill levels. Assess students’ swimming abilities and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including regular pool cleaning and maintenance tasks. Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations. Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging student participation and engagement. Collaborate with team members to enhance guest services and overall experience at the facility. Skills Proficient swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate various techniques effectively. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Lifeguard certification is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Experience in guest services to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all participants. Ability to perform pool cleaning and maintenance tasks as necessary. Physical capability to handle heavy lifting when required (e.g., lifting pool equipment). A passion for teaching and promoting water safety among diverse age groups.
