• 9 a.m. Monday-Friday with additional weekend shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m
• 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m
• 4:00 p.

m. on Sundays. 15-25 hours a week Minimum Requirements Current Lifeguard Training/ CPR for the Professional Rescuer/ AED/ First Aid Certification Must be at least 15 years old Ability to direct others Mature judgement Good physical condition Desired Qualifications Previous lifeguarding experience preferred but not required Meet YWCA certification requirements General Statement of Duties Will be responsible for general wellness and safety of all patrons using the pool Complete work as assigned by the Aquatics Director Supervision Received Works under the general direction of the Aquatics Director and Aquatics Coordinator Statement of Duties Report promptly in proper uniform Maintain order and enforce establishment rules Do not teach swimming or diving, or engage in any activity other than guarding Maintain and upright and alert position while on stand Do not visit with public or other employees. If talk is necessary, do so while keeping assigned area under observation Daily inspection of lifeguard equipment and make repairs Maintain constant check for unsafe conditions or other hazards Issue orders in a courteous and direct manner Always be professional, alert, courteous, and tactful Never leave you post unless there is an emergency or you are properly relieved No use of cell phones while actively lifeguarding Guards should do routine maintenance work as needed All staff is to follow the chain of command unless a personal problem is involved All lifeguards will be required to attend periodic staff meetings and trainings Eating will not be permitted unless it is during an extended shift Schedule may altered depending on holidays and special events. Sufficient notice will be given so guards may adjust schedules accordingly Preferred bilingual in
