Fitness Attendant (Part-time Temp) Wake Technical Community College – 4.2 Raleigh, NC Job Details Part-time $16 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Customer service High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Entry level Full Job Description Position Description Pay grade: Assistant 3 This position is responsible for assisting to educate college faculty and staff members in the effective use of a wide variety of cardio and fitness equipment. This position is also responsible for monitoring the operations of the fitness room and providing routine maintenance to fitness equipment. Responsibilities and Duties (•Essential Functions) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described. Provides assistance as needed instructing patrons in the proper use of the facility equipment and schedules equipment orientations for patrons Maintains health records on all fitness room users Performs routine daily maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment, filing fitness cards and minor repairs on facility equipment Monitors fitness room to ensure center rules, safety standards and sanitation requirements are followed and also to ensure smooth flow of patrons through the designated space Assists in the emergency action plan implementation Monitors daily attendance as well as provide a weekly attendance summary Documents and reports all equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to center administrator Assists in the inventory and requisitioning of supplies and parts for the fitness room

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Communicates effectively Ability to provide exemplary customer service to patrons Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent Current CPR certificate Current American Red Cross First Aid Certificate Must be able to frequently lift 50-100 lbs Must be physically able to operate facility equipment and train patrons on proper use of equipment

Preferences:

Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, or American Council on

Exercise, or American College of Sports Medicine Essential Personnel:
