Lifeguard (Seasonal) Position Available In Sullivan, New York

Lifeguard (Seasonal) Wanaksink Lake Club 15 Wurtsboro Mountain Road, Rock Hill, NY 12775 Do you enjoy working with a FUN group of people? Do you enjoy spending time at a lake beach community? If so, you will want to apply as soon as possible!

Responsibilities:

• Monitor swimmers and ensure their safety by enforcing all lake/beach rules and regulations.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents in and around the water.
• Administer first aid and CPR as needed until medical professionals arrive.
• Keep beach area in orderly condition.

Includes end of day sand raking as well as regular inspections of the beach and swim area to identify any hazards or potential risks

Requirements:

• Must have current certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid AND Waterfront.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues in various water depths.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to give direction to ensure safety.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

Swim Lessons:

• Upon approval; For those that are interested in earning additional income and are qualified to conduct swim lessons, you will be able to offer swim lessons privately, before or after your shifts.

Compensation for lessons will be managed between you and the lake member.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Tuesday through Sunday 10-4 (30 minute lunch break). Hourly rate is $16
• 18 per hour and is based on experience.
