Job Description
Lifeguard Ithaca Boat Tours Ithaca, NY 14850 Occasional Lifeguard for Swim Cruises (Part-Time / Gig Work) We’re hiring a certified lifeguard to join us for a handful of swimming-focused boat cruises on Cayuga Lake this summer. These trips are dedicated swim outings , and you’ll be onboard to ensure guest safety during swimming portions of the cruise. This is a gig-style role — perfect for someone looking to earn extra money in a scenic, low-stress environment.
Position Details:
Trip Type:
Swimming-only cruises aboard a fully crewed tour vessel
Schedule:
Primarily Saturday afternoons , with possible additional late-afternoon shifts if you’re available
Shift Duration:
Each cruise is approximately 3 hours
Total Shifts:
Expect 4-5 shifts over the summer
Requirements:
Valid Lifeguard Certification Current CPR and First Aid certification Good communication skills and a professional demeanor No other certifications or boating experience needed — the vessel is fully staffed This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and friendly lifeguard to pick up occasional work in a fun, outdoors setting.
