POSITIONSUMMARY
Under the direction of the Regional Swim Director, the PreLifeguard associate is responsible for successfully completing allrequired training and certifications to become a certifiedlifeguard. This position is also responsible for assisting withsafety, cleanliness and operation of the swimming pool duringoperating hours. The primary function of the Pre- Lifeguardassociate will be general support to maintain safety for ourmembers on the pool deck.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Focus on qualityexperiences and engagement within programs, services, andactivities Must have understanding of the age and stages of youthdevelopment, and work with children Support communication betweenassociates and members/parents Informing proper leaders ofoperating challenges, equipment/supply needs, and/or conflictsduring operating hours (either with members and/or associates)Enforces Y in Central Maryland policies, guidelines, and bestpractices Encourage member engagement and outstanding memberexperience Foster an environment that is positive and motivating tofamilies, children, and peers. Effectively coordinate facilityusage for assigned programs and activities Supports center’s annualsupport campaign and provide leadership support to associate givingand engagement Ability to work with diverse population, all ages,genders, and sexual orientations Attend and actively participate inall meetings as assigned Incorporate the four character values ofthe
