Located in Worcester, Montgomery County, PA Variety – The Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley (Variety) is seeking part time Lifeguard. The organization’s mission is to enrich the lives of children and young adults with disabilities through social, educational and vocational programs that nurture independence, self-confidence and prepare them for life. Variety serves children with disabilities throughout the five-county Philadelphia area, southern New Jersey and Delaware.

Brief Description:

Do you love kids and spending your summer poolside? Variety – the Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley is hiring lifeguards for our summer programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises swimming activities at designated times Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies. Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary. Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates emergency action plan as required. Assists in cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment

Qualifications:

• 16 years of age or older
• Lifeguard certification in good standing
• All applicable PA state clearances
• Ability to accept supervision and guidance
• Ability to display a mature, professional standard
• Ability to work as part of a team, cooperate with staff and other professionals
• Enthusiasm, flexibility, patience, adaptability
