Job Summary We’re looking for a passionate and organized Aquatics Coordinator to help lead our Sunbury Y aquatics programs. Responsibilities Promotes the YMCA Mission Statement Guarding as scheduled by the Aquatics director Schedule swimming lessons and staff, in coordination with the Aquatics Director Schedule and teach private lessons Work with the Aquatics director to plan and implement safe swim Obtain a childcare file to guard for children and youth program Teach Aquatics classes as scheduled Substitute as needed for Aquatics instructors Take care of pool water level, vacuuming, keeping the pool deck clean and organized and test and record daily chemical checks Maintain swim test book Wash and dry towels used for programing Reports problems to the Aquatics director or executive director Opportunity to help with swim team Qualifications A heart for helping others and a team-first attitude Current Lifeguard, CPR/PR, AED, and First Aid certifications A high school diploma (college degree preferred) Ability to stay calm, focused, and in control during emergencies Excellent communication and organizational skills Required clearances: Act 33, Act 34, FBI, NSOR, Mandated Reporter, physical, and TB test If you believe in the power of water to build skills, confidence, and community, we’d love to welcome you to our team.
