PUPOSE:
To insure the safety of swimmers using the City Pool and provide CPR and First Aid if necessary.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Supervise the conduct of swimmers in the pool according to established conduct and safety rules. Provide and implement rescue procedures to a distressed swimmer according to American Red Cross standards. Provide CPR and First Aid if needed to patrons of the city pool. Clean pool deck, bathrooms, and office as assigned by Pool Manager. Answer phone, and sell concessions and pool admission tickets while off duty from Lifeguard chair. Help maintain the cleanliness of the pool and chemical balance of the pool according to instructions provided by Pool Manager. Provide Lifeguarding for pool rentals
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 15 Current Lifeguarding and CPR certification with the American Red Cross, or Recreation Department approved Lifeguarding program. Ability to interact with the public and provide patrons service with common courtesy.
